Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing Freedom of Information requests, providing expert advice on FOI matters, and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.

About the Role

This is a critical role that requires strong written and verbal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a high level of initiative and accountability, and will be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and process Freedom of Information requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982
  • Provide expert advice on FOI matters to stakeholders across the organization
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to provide guidance and support on FOI issues
  • Prepare executive briefings on FOI matters, including for Corrections Victoria and Justice Services requests
