Chief Information Governance Officer

Job Description:
">">Victoria University seeks a Senior Manager to lead the development and implementation of information governance frameworks that shape how the institution manages and protects its data.
">Key Responsibilities:
">1. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of VU's Information and Data Governance Framework.2. Serve as the primary contact for privacy enquiries, complaints, and incidents.
3. Develop and deliver privacy training and resources for University leaders.
4. Drive strategic alignment and oversight through the Data Governance Committee.
5. Collaborate with Indigenous units to embed Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles.
Requirements:
">• Extensive experience in privacy, data governance, and strategic leadership• Strong understanding of privacy legislation and Indigenous Data Sovereignty
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change-leadership skills
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide initiatives
