Software Testing Manager Role

The role of Software Testing Manager involves leading a team responsible for testing software and systems as part of an Agile delivery process.

This position requires a strong focus on quality assurance, with the ability to manage and direct testing activities to ensure efficient software delivery workflows.

  • Lead a multi-classification team undertaking testing and work collaboratively as a productive member of an integrated Agile team.
  • Develop and implement effective test strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Design, write and run integration scripts, assessing outcomes and documenting faults and failures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with development teams to produce high-quality testing solutions that enhance software delivery processes.
  • Design and develop comprehensive test cases and test scripts to ensure the quality of software is understood before being exposed in production environments.
  • Document technical processes and report risks and faults according to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Support the development of positive working relationships by collaborating effectively with the developer team, broader program team, key stakeholders and business partners.

High-quality documentation of test processes and outcomes is crucial in this role.

The program of work encompasses multiple projects, varying in size, requiring the successful candidate to manage competing priorities and deliver results-oriented solutions.
