About the Role

The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is a key position within our Gyprock factory at Welshpool. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of engineering, maintenance, continuous improvement, and capital projects for our Interior Systems business unit.

In this role, you will:

  1. Lead the Team: Manage a diverse group of Fitters, Electricians, and Supervisors to ensure the effective operation of the site.
  2. Champion Safety and Well-being: Foster a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment for all team members.
  3. Inspire Growth and Efficiency: Lead the Maintenance team to maximize efficiency while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  4. Empower Collaboration: Provide leadership in daily and long-term operations, driving improvement initiatives and training programs.
  5. Provide Clear Vision and Direction: Offer technical leadership to guide the plant towards achieving strategic objectives.
  6. Innovate for Sustainability: Utilize Lean Manufacturing Principles to enhance plant reliability, product quality, and streamline processes.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background or trade qualifications. You will possess excellent leadership and people management skills, with a passion for creating a positive impact.
