Position OverviewThe Engineering & Maintenance Manager role is a Full-Time position. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all facets of engineering, maintenance, continuous improvement, and capital projects for the Interior Systems – Gyprock Factory.
In this capacity, you will:
- Lead: Direct the Engineering and Maintenance team, including Fitters, Electricians, and Supervisors.
- Promote Safety and Well-being: Committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace for all team members.
- Encourage Growth and Efficiency: Guide the Maintenance team to ensure optimal site operations, maximizing efficiency while supporting a healthy work-life balance.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Provide leadership in both daily and long-term business operations. Inspire the team to drive improvement initiatives, training programs, quantify benefits, and monitor performance.
- Establish Clear Vision and Direction: Offer technical leadership that steers the plant towards achieving strategic goals.
- Innovate for Sustainability: Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles to enhance plant reliability, product quality, and streamline processes.
Ideally, you will possess a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a trade-related field, with experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential.
