About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead our team at Welshpool. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement for our Gyprock Factory.

As a leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of Fitters, Electricians, and Supervisors, championing safety and well-being, and inspiring growth and efficiency. You will provide leadership in both daily and long-term operation of the business, driving improvement initiatives, training programs, and quantifying benefits and tracking performance.

You will be responsible for providing technical leadership that guides the plant towards achieving strategic objectives, utilizing Lean Manufacturing Principles to enhance plant reliability, product quality, and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Engineering and Maintenance team to ensure the effective operation of the site, maximizing efficiency while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Champion safety and well-being, creating a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment for all team members.
  • Drive improvement initiatives, training programs, and quantify benefits and track performance.
  • Provide technical leadership that guides the plant towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing Principles to enhance plant reliability, product quality, and streamline processes.
