Job Summary:

The Sr. Automation Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to increase business unit revenues through marketing, cross-selling, and project management.

This role will oversee projects from design to delivery, ensuring timely completion and financial success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automation systems, construction, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can effectively delegate tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage risk in estimates, schedules, contracts, and site conditions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing distributed control systems, including PLC/HMI/SCADA programs and product selection;
  • Offering solutions to clients with support from engineering and field personnel;
  • Managing project start-ups, modifications, and commissioning;
  • Developing client relationships and pursuing long-term opportunities;
  • Utilizing internal estimating software and standard product selections to develop client solutions;
  • Acting as the single point of contact with clients during project execution;
  • Working collaboratively with design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff;
  • Partnering with other engineers, technicians, and electricians to develop technical solutions and standards;

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience with PLCs/HMIs/SCADA systems in areas such as discrete manufacturing, process controls, oil and gas, food and beverage, robotics, chemical/pharmaceutical, or automotive;
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Engineering;
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in estimating and managing automation projects, as well as building and growing client relationships;
  • A valid Driver's License and a good driving record;
