Job Summary

A skilled Rehabilitation Case Manager is sought to join a Federal Government Agency in Adelaide CBD.

  • Provide sound advice on early intervention, compensation and related HR issues.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to support early intervention and compensation case management frameworks.
  • Resolve problems using knowledge and experience, and identify alternative courses of action.
  • Initiate, coordinate and monitor injured or ill employees' workplace rehabilitation programs.
  • Connect and coordinate people involved in the return to work process.
  • Promote the health benefits of good work, early intervention, and the organisation's return to work approach.
  • Assist the Agency to provide suitable employment for injured or ill employees.
  • Coordinate employer responses to requests for information about employees, their injuries or illnesses, and their rehabilitation.
  • Maintain appropriate records and ensure relevant worker's compensation forms are completed.
  • Ensure the Agency complies with the Guidelines for Rehabilitation Authorities Instrument 2019.

Key skills required include case management, injury prevention, return to work and disability assessments. Experience in managing illness/injury, workplace adjustments, policy interpretation, and specialist areas is highly desirable.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing rehabilitation programs that promote employee well-being and meet organisational objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices.
