Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a skilled ETF Trader Support Specialist to join their Sydney team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in ETFs and be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to work in direct support of a Trading team focused on ETFs. As an experienced operations or middle office professional, you will act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, brokers. You will also execute orders per the request of traders, work with ETF traders, operations and external Prime Brokers to ensure trading system parity, compile/reconcile data from electronic trades, examine electronic transactions generated from clearing firm, resolve erroneous and broken trades, assist with maintaining position, P&L and information exchange, and update and manage all post computer screens including exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise between desk traders and other dealers, brokers
  • Execute orders per trader requests
  • Work with ETF traders, operations and external Prime Brokers
  • Compile/reconcile data from electronic trades
  • Examine electronic transactions generated from clearing firm
  • Resolve erroneous and broken trades
  • Maintain position, P&L and information exchange
  • Update and manage all post computer screens
Requirements

We are looking for high calibre people who possess the following competencies:

  • 3 years previous experience in financial services industry
  • Thorough knowledge of equities and ETFs, corporate actions, equity derivatives
  • Mandarin language skills would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
  • Ideally Python, VBA, SQL and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a self starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
  • Ability to move throughout the trading floor as needed
  • Maintain composure under pressure
