Procurement Strategist Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled procurement strategist to support our dynamic Sourcing & Procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing, category management, and supply management strategies that deliver best value outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish, lead, and execute category plans, strategies, and frameworks to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Present sourcing project outcomes and key recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Develop optimal sourcing strategies achieving consistent, quality outcomes across diverse clients.
  • Conduct negotiations on critical, complex supply arrangements and manage contract negotiations.
  • Manage key contracts and their administration while ensuring optimal vendor delivery.
  • Identify and evaluate new market trends and opportunities to deliver strategic procurement decisions.
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders and clients on all aspects of procurement category strategy.
  • Report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, client satisfaction, value, and cost.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in Business, Commerce, Economics, or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, and negotiation.
  • Work experience with exposure to integrated facilities management principles and/or experience will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organisational levels.
  • Experience in financial modelling, feasibility studies, and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Sound proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
