Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee site-based delivery of civil infrastructure projects, manage subcontractors, procurement and project programming, track project costs and contribute to monthly reporting/claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians on site-based civil infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including material procurement, labor costs, and equipment hire.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to identify and mitigate risks associated with the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in site-based civil engineering, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Valid driver's license and Construction White Card.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including AS/NZS and relevant codes.
