Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of diverse civil infrastructure initiatives as part of a Local Council's Capital Works Program in South East Queensland.

In this contract role, you will be responsible for managing the planning and design phase of a broad range of infrastructure projects, including civil works, buildings, parks, water / wastewater, and marine infrastructure.

You'll be working in a collaborative team environment with limited direction, managing external consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with strategic community and corporate objectives.

  • Oversee project design and development across multiple capital works projects
  • Engage and manage external consultants and contractors
  • Provide contract and project administration support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
  • Collaborate across internal teams and ensure alignment with corporate and community plans
Key Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure projects within a Local Government or similar public sector environment
  2. Proven track record in delivering complex civil and community infrastructure projects
  3. Strong understanding of contract management and project delivery processes
  4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with public tendering and procurement processes
