Senior Technical Program Manager, Region Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Region Services team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams through the design, development, and deployment of large-scale programs for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage high-profile programs across multiple supporting teams to deliver successful outcomes for our customers and AWS.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, proactively seek solutions to problems, provide escalation management and tradeoff decisions that benefit the program.
- Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on program status and risks, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.
- Rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.
- Own the metrics for project success and define, measure and report on these metrics.
- Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
- Demonstrate ownership to help improve the safety, security, availability of our region operations.
- Mentor, train, and develop career progression for indirect reports and members of the organization (Technicians and Technical Program Managers).
The Region Services team redefines the way AWS designs, builds, and operates AWS regions to enable new AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Services offerings to customers across every industry and of every size, including start-ups, enterprises, and public sector organizations.

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
- 5+ years of experience authoring documents and narratives; experience presenting in executive level meetings.
- Advanced professional certifications in management of complex, high-value technical projects.
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
