We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Region Services team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams through the design, development, and deployment of large-scale programs for our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Program Management: Manage high-profile programs across multiple supporting teams to deliver successful outcomes for our customers and AWS.
- Risk Management: Anticipate bottlenecks, proactively seek solutions to problems, and provide escalation management and tradeoff decisions that benefit the program.
- Communication: Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on program status and risks, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.
- Influence: Rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.
- Metrics and Reporting: Own the metrics for project success and define, measure, and report on these metrics.
- Operational Excellence: Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
- Team Development: Mentor, train, and develop career progression for indirect reports and members of the organization.
The Region Services team is responsible for designing, building, and operating AWS regions to enable new AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Services offerings to customers across every industry and of every size.
Requirements- Technical Product or Program Management Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
- Project Management Disciplines: 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: 5+ years of experience authoring documents and narratives; experience presenting in executive-level meetings.
