We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Region Services team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, influencing cross-functional teams to focus on the delivery of new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity, open capacity at a faster rate, and secure devices to AWS standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Work in conjunction with a team of Data Center Managers and employees across multiple data centers, on finding better ways to install, maintain network and server hardware.
- Operational Excellence: Demonstrate ownership to improve the safety, security, and availability of our data center operations.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship for indirect reports and members of the organization (Technicians and Technical Program Managers).
- Continuous Learning: Dedicate time to ongoing learning and development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills (critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability) development perspective.
- Best Practices: Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
- Business Requirements: Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, define User Acceptance Criteria for testing software, ensure systems capture applicable data to enable the customer to measure how effective their processes and leveraged software are from a day to day basis.
- Project Delivery: Identify and assemble the appropriate resources for each project, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
- Risk Management: Contribute with cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
- Communication: Present to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.
- Data Analysis: Be responsible for data collection, analytics and dashboard creation as a way to help others recognize the best path to make the business better.
- Customer Focus: The TPM has to work closely with its core customer, data center technicians to be successful.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
