Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Liaison Officer, Indigenous Communities. As part of this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with traditional owner groups in the land management space.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung culture and community practices, as well as experience working with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to engage with local communities and promote cultural values;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve common outcomes and build partnerships;
  • Providing project management support to ensure timely delivery of projects and programs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A good practical and cultural understanding of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Indigenous communities;
  • Experience working with traditional owner groups in the land management/caring for country space;
  • Ability to engage with people and stakeholders to achieve common outcomes;
  • Strong written and presentation skills, with ability to manage projects effectively.
