Maxima, in partnership with the William Angliss Institute, are looking for an experienced Liaison Officer to work with the Koorie community.

The William Angliss Institute is a Government endorsed training provider specialising in the hospitality and tourism industry. With one-day courses through to apprenticeships and nationally recognised certificates on offer, the William Angliss Institute has graduates across the world backed by 80 years of experience.

As a Koorie Liaison Officer within the National Training department, you will assist to identify, develop, and manage several industry activities. This fulltime position will see you working from the Melbourne campus but may require travel to other sites in metro and regional Victoria.

**Duties Include**:

- Oversee and provide staff assistance
- Prepare submissions for Government funding
- Coordinate activities to attract students
- Design and implement training programs
- Prepare reports and budgets
- Negotiate funding and resources with stakeholders
- Community and industry engagement

**Skills & Qualities**:

- Ability to exercise judgement and problem-solving skills
- Works collaboratively to achieve common goals
- Competency to implement strategies
- Flexible approach to meet the needs of different learning and educational needs
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written

**Role Requirements**:

- National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Tertiary qualification relevant to role; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Previous experience in a similar position or industry
- Ability to build rapport with various of Indigenous communities and organisations
