Job Title

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Subsea Controls Engineer to join our Subsea team.

This position requires proactive collaboration across all business functions and managing scopes across geographically diverse teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership, and governance to activities related to the Control System install base within the Services APAC Region.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute engineering scopes aligned with customer and project requirements and priorities.
  2. Define Cost, Time, and Resource (CTR) requirements for planning and forecasting.
  3. Drive engineering and team activities to ensure timely delivery.
  4. Grow regional ownership and accountability over APACI project execution, fostering autonomy and capacity building.
  5. Collaborate during design reviews, working with controlled titles at all project stages, contribute to risk assessments, and drive mitigation activities.
  6. Evaluate manpower needs for offshore installations, including skill gap analysis, provide planning support, review procedures, and lead offshore teams during commissioning and start-up.
  7. Ensure deliverables meet customer specifications, regional technical regulations, and standards for Australia.
  8. Review and approve product clarifications, procedures, and technical reports.
  9. Provide technical support and leadership during business and non-business hours, including rota-based 24/7 on-call support.
