Inventory Management Specialist

As a key member of the Culture Kings team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our retail stores. We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our Sydney CBD store.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee the efficient management and control of inventory within our retail stores. You will be responsible for implementing robust inventory control procedures, managing stock levels, and ensuring accurate stock records.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
- Establish and maintain stock control procedures, including stock counting, stock rotation, and reconciling stock discrepancies. Regularly review and update these procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising team and Store Managers to facilitate timely stock replenishment to meet customer demand and ensure optimal product availability.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of stockrooms to ensure efficient stock handling and easy accessibility for staff.
- Ensure stocktake preparation is completed to company standard to enable accurate counting and recording of inventory during the stocktake process.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that received merchandise meets the required standards and that damaged or faulty items are handled appropriately.
- Collaborate with the Loss Prevention team to minimize stock losses due to theft, damage, or other factors. Implement security measures to safeguard inventory.
- Provide training and guidance to store staff on stock control procedures, accurate stock handling, and efficient stockroom management.
- Proven experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to conduct accurate stock audits and data analysis.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and proficiency in using software tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and suppliers.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize inventory control processes.
- Knowledge of stockroom organization, product handling, and storage best practices.

We offer a generous salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as team discounts and opportunities for career growth and progression in both professional and personal aspects.
