Job Title:

Operations Supervisor

About the Role:

This key position supports the delivery of a responsive and efficient library service by ensuring high-quality customer service, effective daily operations, and safe, welcoming spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff rosters and training to ensure a skilled workforce.
  • Maintain WHS compliance to guarantee a safe working environment.
  • Oversee creative technology and library IT systems for seamless operations.
  • Coordinate building maintenance to ensure facilities are in excellent condition.
  • Confidently manage projects and budgets to drive continuous improvement and service excellence.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant university qualification with eligibility for professional membership of ALIA.
  • Demonstrated recent public library and supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and functions, with a strong focus on customer service delivery.
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in working effectively with staff and the public.
