Operations Manager Job Description

This is an autonomous role accountable for the leadership and management of all aspects of operations, including safety, people management, quality, and financials at a recycling, glass manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in manufacturing, business, or engineering, prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, strong communication and organizational skills, excellent team-building and interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Office products, and ability to understand and read P&L reports and balance sheets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe operations in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Management of budgets, conversion costs and financial integrity.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and development to the team within the facility.
  • Manage all aspects of the use of contractors.
  • Ensure production stays on schedule and quality standards are met.
  • Look for process improvement opportunities.
