Job Opportunity: Trade Support Specialist

This is an ongoing full-time position that involves working in a fast-paced environment to provide support to the team in the workshop. As a Trade Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting qualified mechanics with servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses, and trailers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist skilled tradespeople with the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles.
  • Handle basic workshop tasks such as cleaning parts, organizing tools, and preparing vehicles for service.
  • Perform minor repairs under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of mechanical issues and provide support during more complex repairs.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and inventory as needed.
  • E nsure the workshop is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.

About You:

  • A motivated team player with exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills.
  • Detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
  • Well-organized, able to prioritize effectively and manage projects to agreed timelines despite conflicting priorities.
  • Prior experience in a workshop or similar environment (experience with heavy vehicles is beneficial).
  • Strong interest in mechanical work and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and workshop equipment.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Current driver's license (HR license preferred but not essential).
  • Willingness to undergo training and develop skills in heavy vehicle mechanics.

Qualifications and Accreditations:

  • Advanced level Microsoft Office skills.
