Investment Partner Job Opportunity

AusNet is a leading energy company in Australia, playing a key role in the clean energy transition.

We are seeking an Investment Partner to join our Commercial Finance team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Southbank.

The Investment Partner will support infrastructure deal teams and review capital investment opportunities across our Development Future Networks (DF&N) portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing financial models and approval papers prior to executive and board review.
  • Running scenario analyses to test pricing robustness.
  • Coordinating inputs into the 5-year Capex plan and investment pipeline forecasts.
  • Providing accounting, tax and general finance advice on projects.
  • Supporting bid submissions and undertaking process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis skills.
  • A solid understanding of key Corporate Finance/Project Finance principles, including an understanding of investment evaluation metrics.
  • Experience in capital investment evaluation preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Background in utilities, infrastructure, or banking preferred.
