Job Description

This role is for a professional to oversee the management of workers' compensation claims in accordance with relevant requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to injured workers throughout the claims management process.

The job involves managing the full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims, including liability assessments, injury management, claims review, wage calculations, and injury activities. This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining Injury Management Plans to support injured workers' recovery.

  • This role requires strong communication skills to regularly update claimants and ensure that injury management progresses efficiently.
  • Accurate records must be maintained, including file notes, calculations, and database entries, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • The candidate will evaluate and process workers' compensation invoices and prepare, interpret, and report on claims data and statistics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in workers' compensation claims management, return-to-work programs, or injury management.
  • Previous experience in managing workers' compensation claims for a self-insurer or scheme agent, with a strong understanding of the processes.
  • High-level computer literacy and proficiency with relevant claims management software and data systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
