
Injury Management And Workers Compensation Specialist

As part of the TMHA National Safety Team, this role exists to mitigate workplace injury risks and manage injury recovery processes for injured employees. It supports TMHA operations by providing professional injury management advice and guidance.
Please note that this is not a hybrid role; attendance at our Head Office in Moorebank is required 5 days per week.
Responsibilities & Duties :
- Coordinate and administer Workers Compensation insurance premiums estimates and actuals with the payroll team, ensuring renewal processes and current insurance coverage.
- Manage injury cases and provide professional advice to managers and Return to Work Coordinators.
- Liaise with insurers across Australia to manage claims effectively and ensure successful rehabilitation.
- Understand all relevant workers compensation legal frameworks nationwide.
- Coordinate injury management activities for workplace injuries.
- Investigate workplace injuries to identify root causes and prevent future incidents.
- Administer workers compensation insurance policies and manage claims costs and premiums.
- Support management and Return-to-Work Coordinators in injury management and claims strategies, ensuring legislative compliance.
Skills and Experience :
- Tertiary qualification in Safety, Social Science, Occupational Physio, Ergonomics, Human Resources, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of injury management experience, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or similar sectors.
- Strong knowledge of WHS and Workers Compensation laws across Australia.
- Excellent interpersonal and influential skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Experience in safety initiatives and internal auditing is desirable.
- Workplace incident investigation expertise is desirable.
