Job Opportunity: Workers Compensation Specialist

The position of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Officer has become available in a dynamic Safety & Wellbeing team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage workers' compensation claims from initiation to closure, ensuring accurate assessments, timely injury management, and efficient wage calculations.
  • Develop and implement Injury Management Plans to facilitate effective recovery for injured workers.
  • Communicate regularly with claimants, providing updates and ensuring smooth injury management progress.
  • Maintain precise records of workers' compensation cases, including file notes, calculations, and database entries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and process workers' compensation invoices, prepare, interpret, and report on claims data and statistical information.
  • Identify gaps in claims management practices, aligning them with regulatory standards and implementing improvements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to Managers and staff on workers' compensation and injury management, including legislative interpretations.
  • Support the investigation of incidents relating to injuries and ensure preventive measures are implemented.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in workers' compensation claims management, return-to-work programs, or injury management.
  • Experience in managing workers' compensation claims, understanding processes, and proficiency with relevant software and data systems.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations to meet organisational requirements.

Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
