Job Description

Step into a senior leadership role that combines technical expertise, business acumen, and industry influence. As Associate Director of Structures, you will oversee the delivery of complex building projects while shaping the long-term vision of a consultancy known for its technical excellence and collaborative culture.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, mentor the next generation of structural leaders, and remain hands-on with high-profile projects, ensuring technical quality is never compromised.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design, delivery, and technical reviews across major structural projects.
  • Provide high-level technical oversight on complex engineering challenges.
  • Mentor and develop senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships; contribute to business development and project acquisition.
  • Contribute to strategy on resourcing, digital engineering, and future business growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications

CPEng registered.

15-20+ years in structural engineering with a proven record in high-value, complex building projects.

Strong leadership profile - guiding teams, influencing clients, and representing the business at industry level.

Technical expertise across design, compliance, and constructability for multi-million-dollar projects.

Commercial acumen: understanding of project delivery, risk management, and client engagement.
