Student Services Coordinator Role

We are seeking a dedicated Student Services Coordinator to join our team and support the wellbeing of students at our college. Our community values inclusive education and student wellbeing, and we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in student services and/or teachers looking to develop leadership skills. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff, and families.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading wellbeing initiatives and reward programs that celebrate student success.
  • Supporting students in navigating social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges.
  • Applying restorative practices to resolve conflict and strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinating key school events and contributing to the smooth daily operation of Student Services.
  • Guiding students through important transitions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Genuine interest in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
  • Resilience, empathy, and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly.
  • Collaborative approach to problem-solving and creativity to design innovative solutions.
