Ogilvy Sydney is seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager to lead our largest accounts. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a tight-knit team and a longstanding client relationship. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing team members, lifting the team, supporting through workloads, representing the account back to the agency, and championing the great work that is being built.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build an open, honest, and trusting relationship with the client, the account management team, the creative department, and all other agency partners.
  • Create the best possible opportunities for creative development, by supporting teams in creative development and understanding how it delivers business challenges.
  • Work alongside a team, ensuring teamwork and collaboration are front and centre of that process.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client's brand and its competitive environment, so that the Agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to get things done on time, on budget and at the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines.
  • Manage the professional development of direct reports, including feedback coaching and efficient delegation.
  • Develop a strong relationship with the client and keep them in the loop with work in progress.

Experience & Skills

  • At least two years of experience in a creative agency.
  • Experience developing through-the-line creative solutions and campaign productions, particularly in broadcast, digital and print.
  • Lead the clients, not just reacting to briefs, anticipating their needs, and finding solutions.
  • Ability to build strong agency inter-departmental and external agency relationships.
  • Sound financial management skills.
  • Demonstrate resilience, confidence, and tenacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities, including effective influence/persuasion skills.
  • Ability to handle a difficult situation with diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to the brief.
