Are you a seasoned finance professional looking for a challenging role in cloud finance? We're seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Commercial Sales Organization, you will be responsible for driving thoughtful analysis and controllership in our fast-growing business.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with finance management and key business partners across the AWS organization, including Product Managers and Operations. Your primary focus will be on implementing and driving core financial processes for the business, including investment evaluation frameworks, annual operating plans, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and identifying and quantifying financial and operational risks and opportunities (R&O).

You will also be responsible for creating short- and long-term financial models for existing and new business concepts, partnering with business teams to implement new processes, and owning key reporting metrics (KPIs) and narratives to help business partners understand areas of growth and opportunity for engagement.

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong financial modeling skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent project management skills. You'll also require solid interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various business units across Amazon.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, creating process improvements with automation and analysis, tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience, and identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results, MBA, or CPA experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools, and other financial systems.
