About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare IT Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Integration Solutions team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing seamless data exchange between various internal and external systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement technical system integration to meet business needs in a secure manner and according to IT architecture.
  • Develop and work with RESTful APIs, XML, and JSON.
  • Perform data mapping for clinical data coming from source systems to FHIR data models.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal resources to create, design, and implement HL7/FHIR interfaces.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives related to the Integration Platform and Integration team processes.
  • Manage large-scale implementation projects and ensure timely and successful delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum 13-15 years of work experience in IT Healthcare Domain.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare clinical domain knowledge in IT.
  • Hands-on expertise with HL7 v2.x standards interfaces for various message types.
  • Hands-on expertise with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) components for clinical data translation and FHIR Profiles.
  • Strong understanding and expertise with FHIR Data repository (e.g., Smile CDR).
  • Ability to perform data mapping for clinical data coming from source systems to FHIR data models.
  • Extensive experience in integrating healthcare systems using interface engines such as Lyniate Rhapsody, Mirth, and more.
  • Strong technical knowledge on JavaScript, Python, and more technologies.
  • Experience with writing SQL queries.
  • Experience with various healthcare standards, programming tools, and development platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
