Job Overview

This is a permanent full-time position based in Perth.

About the Role
  • The digital division enables the delivery of AEMO's obligations through technology and improves outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The energy markets and corporate digital systems team within the division will provide ongoing maintenance and operational support, as well as deliver software development services for critical energy and gas market systems and corporate business applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all IT systems and applications supporting wholesale electricity market and WA gas systems information business capabilities operate within agreed service level agreements.
  • Driving the creation and establishment of efficient ways of working to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and scalable delivery.
  • Assisting the general manager energy market and corporate digital solutions to drive change, promote cross-departmental activities.
  • Providing strategic advice and direction to management on AEMO's technology functions covering operational matters, strategies, and efficiencies.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in technology team leadership managing multiple, large, cross-functional operational teams or projects.
  • Strong experience in the energy industry or similarly highly regulated industry experience relevant to fit-for-purpose information technology and data management.
  • Good knowledge of practices and principles associated with operation of gas and electricity markets within Australia and internationally.
