Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Railway Operations Professional to join our team. As a key member of our operations crew, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of locomotives on our rail network.

This role requires strong teamwork skills, flexibility, and exceptional customer service. You will work closely with other team members to ensure smooth train operations and maintain high levels of on-time running.

In this role, you will be operating locomotives on mainline, shunting, and marshalling duties. You will also examine and certify trains as ready for departure, ensuring that all safety and operational standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate locomotives safely and efficiently
  • Examine and certify trains for departure
  • Maintain high levels of on-time running
  • Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives
  • Provide excellent customer service
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations or relevant qualification
  • Extensive experience in railway operations, preferably in freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving
  • Ability to work 24/7 shift roster
  • Familiarity with WA Safeworking System is an advantage
