Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual therapy and support to children up to 16 years old at home, school or childcare as needed.

You will conduct and implement informal and standardised assessments to effectively assess and establish therapy plans. You will also collaborate closely with participants, their families and carers to provide therapy support to identify the best course of action and increase the child's functioning and family well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of children with a diverse range of disabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong organisational, time management skills and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual therapy and support to children up to 16 years old at home, school or childcare as needed.
  • Conduct and implement informal and standardised assessments to effectively assess and establish therapy plans.
  • Collaborate closely with participants, their families and carers to provide therapy support to identify the best course of action and increase the child's functioning and family well-being.
  • Liaise with team, family, specialist services and other stakeholders as appropriately needed.
  • Documenting tasks including keeping up to date client treatment notes and report writing.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy as recognised by AHPRA.
  • Current membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid and CPR training or willingness to obtain.
  • Open driver's licence and access to a car.
