About the Position

Centacare Family and Relationship Services (CFRS) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Practitioner to deliver high-quality support services to individuals, couples, children, and families across the community for a 12-month contract.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide professional counselling and support services to those facing complex challenges such as domestic and family violence, separation, trauma, or parenting difficulties.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred counselling and brief intervention services
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psycho-educational groups
  • Manage intake and assessment processes
  • Maintain high standards of record keeping, data collection, and reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, planning, and evaluation activities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure holistic care
  • Actively participate in supervision, training, and professional development opportunities
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Sciences
  • Eligibility for professional membership with APS, AASW or similar
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain
  • Australian Work Rights and Federal Police Check (or ability to obtain)
