About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Tomra. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reports, driving corporate governance, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Manage the preparation and consolidation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of costings for profit and loss and balance sheets
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and associated asset accounts
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices
  • Provide guidance to the financial accountants and accounts payable team
  • Assist in the preparation of regular cash flow forecasts
  • Manage the preparation and submission of monthly BAS
  • Coordinate and prepare IFRS 16 (Lease Reporting) on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts, annual financial statements, and income tax return
Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Proven experience of 6-10 years in a similar role
  • Strong grasp of financial accounting, accounting standards, and ability to understand and drill down through relevant financial reports
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Communication skills appropriate for various audiences with differing degrees of financial knowledge
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member
