Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Work Injury Claims Specialist to join our team in Adelaide. As a key member of our claims management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that injured workers receive the support and resources they need to return to work.

About You
  • You have a strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills.
  • You possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • You maintain sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology derived from work experience or studies is desirable.
  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Exercise Science) is considered advantageous.
Your Responsibilities
  • Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs.
  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions.
  • Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policy, in accordance with EML procedures if required.
  • Undertake ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements, payments and medical expenses.
  • Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans/wellness plans in accordance with guidelines.
  • Conduct health promotion activities to enhance the injured worker's wellbeing and empower them to participate in their own treatment and recovery.
  • Ensure claims files are accurately and professionally updated on a regular basis.
