Job Description

This role is focused on delivering innovative, strategic technology solutions and critical projects that support both the Australian business and the global network. As a key member of the IT Department, you will work closely with the SAP Basis Manager to ensure best-practice architecture, resolve technical issues, and optimize application performance.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of SAP Basis experience, including hands-on SAP installations and upgrades, incident management, scheduled task oversight, and the ability to clearly articulate backup tools, processes, and disaster recovery procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • SAP application installation, upgrades, and regular maintenance.
  • Incident management & management of scheduled tasks.
  • Managing application documentation, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Provide SAP Basis support and coordinate Basis requirements for projects with other infrastructure teams.
  • Oversee all change projects related to the SAP landscape.
  • Assist in development requests & functional system analysts.
  • Manage environment variation within agreed tolerances.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving SAP application and database integrity and performance issues.
  • Performance Tuning using appropriate monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience in SAP Technologies, including but not limited to NetWeaver, ECC6, BW, HANA, Business Objects, IDM, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, Gateway, FIORI, PI, S4HANA Systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of AIX/Linux/Windows Operating environments is also required.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24X7 support (on call-based support rotation basis) environment.
  • Security (User/role maintenance) experience will be highly regarded.
