Your RoleAs Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting commercial decision-making processes.
You will report to the Finance Manager, oversee month-end procedures, prepare accurate financial statements, and assist with financial audits.
Adherence to accounting standards and implementation of process improvements that enhance financial controls and efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Manage timely and accurate financial reporting for the ANZ region within our global organization.
- Own Month End and Period End close for key P&L / Balance Sheet areas and/or a specific business unit.
- Partner with Operating Expense business owners to ensure forecast spend aligns with Budget.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Support annual budgeting and interim forecasting processes.
- Support ANZ statutory audit and reporting, including climate-related financial reporting and technical accounting support.
- Support process and systems/ERP automation, including NetSuite and Power BI.
Required qualifications include a strong background in financial accounting, ideally from FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or BIG4 experience with clients in these industries.
Working knowledge of financial processes, including month and period end, supporting audits, AP/AR, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations is also required.
Relevant Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS must be applied.
Experience influencing and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders is necessary.
Commercial finance experience, including business partnering, working with P&Ls, pricing, and scenario modelling is desirable.
Tertiary qualification and CPA/CA/CIMA certification are preferred.
Intermediate Excel skills and experience with financial modules in an ERP (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) are essential.
