An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join a dynamic and growing ASX-listed company. This is a pivotal role, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer to drive financial performance and deliver accurate, insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making.

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading the company's financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance functions. This role will also manage core operational finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Payroll, and month-end reporting. Your strategic insights and financial leadership will help drive efficiencies, optimise performance, and ensure best practice in financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to support business strategy
  • Prepare budgets and consolidate regular financial reporting
  • Manage cash flow, debt, and taxation requirements including BAS and tax statements
  • Deliver accurate month-end financials including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Support ERP system utilisation and future upgrades (experience with MYOB)
  • Drive cost control initiatives and continuous improvement in finance operations
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
  • Provide clear, strategic financial advice to senior management and the board
About You
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Proven experience in a similar financial leadership role, preferably within a listed or fast-growing company
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (preferably MYOB) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and manage competing deadlines
  • A hands-on, proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement
