A key role in our organization is available for a seasoned professional with a background in aerospace engineering.

As the Head of Propulsion, you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver propulsion systems that meet our stringent performance requirements.

This position requires a strong technical understanding of propulsion system design, analysis, and testing, as well as excellent leadership and management skills to oversee a team of engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant professional engineering setting.

Key qualifications include a deep understanding of propulsion system design, test, and analysis, as well as exceptional financial, schedule, and task management skills.

In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 + years of experience in a relevant professional engineering setting (excluding internships)
  • 5 + years' experience in a managerial capacity
  • RPEQ (or ability to obtain) with aerospace and/or mechanical areas of engineering

Desired qualifications:

  • CPEng (or ability to obtain) Aerospace, Mechanical, and/or Systems Engineering areas of practice
  • NV1 Security Clearance
  • Practical experience designing, building, and testing rocket engines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to build and maintain personable and positive working relationships
