Our organization is a pioneer in next-generation hybrid propulsion technologies for small satellite launch vehicles. The Launch Vehicle Operations Department plays a crucial role in developing policy and operational procedures to conduct testing & launch operations of Launch Vehicles (LV). As the leader of this department, you will be responsible for overseeing a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

The Head of Launch Vehicle Operations will lead and manage the LV Operations Team, conducting testing & launch operations for multiple programs. This includes ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the Launch Vehicle Ground systems & testing infrastructures, developing a safety-first mindset within the team, and reviewing operational procedures for improvement.

In order to achieve these goals, the successful candidate must possess exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to obtain and retain new information. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar discipline is required, as well as 10+ years of professional experience in operational activities (testing, maintenance, product operation) and 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and technicians.

To excel in this role, you should have demonstrated resilience and ability to work well in a safety-critical, dynamic environment. Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of experience in operations management roles in space or aerospace industries, effective communication skills with various stakeholders, and a good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation/requirements.
