About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team of experts in hybrid propulsion technologies for small satellite launch vehicles.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our engineers to assemble prototype products based on schematic diagrams, accurately marking changes when instructions vary and reporting these updates. You will also conduct product tests and diagnostic activities to support the production process, ensuring all parts meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Avionics and at least 5+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment, preferably within the space/aerospace industry. They will possess extensive knowledge of avionics and electrical systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electronic/Electrical Assembly: Assemble electronic components according to design specifications
  • System Modification and Installation: Install electrical/avionics systems and modify existing systems as required
  • Harness Manufacturing: Design, manufacture, and test electrical harnesses
  • High-Level Soldering: Perform high-level soldering tasks on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Electrical Circuit Fault Finding and Diagnosis: Identify and diagnose electrical circuit faults using specialized equipment and software
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Avionics
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment
  • Extensive knowledge of avionics and electrical systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
