ABOUT THE ROLE

We are excited to offer a remarkable opportunity for a Human Resources Consultant to join our team on the Curragh North project. This pivotal role will collaborate with stakeholders and management to provide essential support for the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

In this role, you will:

  • Thrive in a dynamic work environment, enjoying a diverse range of tasks while being part of a supportive team.
  • Operate independently on-site, serving as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries.
  • Lead intricate investigations and assist with negotiations related to Enterprise Agreements.
  • Offer guidance, training, and support to operational teams throughout the employee lifecycle, including compensation, engagement, policies, procedures, training, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Provide expertise in conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, disputes, and investigations.
  • Collaborate with the broader Queensland HR team to deliver comprehensive HR and industrial relations activities for the project.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of effective people strategies and initiatives.
  • Promote community engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives for the project.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to provide support.
  • Advocate for a values-driven approach to HR within the project.

YOUR KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and handle high-volume workloads effectively.
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Experience in human resources within a mining or heavy industry context is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly an advanced understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
