
Employee Wellbeing Specialist

Overview: As an Occupational Health Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of employees across various teams. Working closely with HR and Safety departments, you will deliver meaningful care and contribute to a safe and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate support for injured employees during their rehabilitation process.
- Develop personalized plans to support workers' gradual return to full roles and optimal health.
- Operate the site's Occupational Health Centre, including coordinating the calibration of medical equipment.
- Perform pre-employment medical assessments and provide outcomes.
- Coordinate and conduct health surveillance activities.
- Support employee wellness initiatives and programs.
- Engage in community involvement initiatives, such as Community Action Day.
- Promote market-leading learning and development opportunities and genuine career pathways.
- Administer paid parental leave and employee recognition programs.
- Offer discounts on products and corporate partnerships.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A Registered Nurse degree with relevant occupational health qualifications.
- At least three years' experience in a similar role.
- Effective knowledge of injury management and return-to-work processes/strategies.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Insurance Legislation.
- Spirometry training certification from the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ).
- Workplace screening Audiometry & Hearing Conservation certificate.
- Ability to work autonomously aligned with medical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Strong recent knowledge and experience in health surveillance and health assessments, including operating medical equipment.
- Experience in drug and alcohol testing/management.
