
Patient Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Transport Attendant to join our team, providing compassionate patient-first transport services for those in pre- and post-hospital care.
- About the Role
- You will be responsible for delivering safe, effective clinical interventions across a range of acuity levels, ensuring alignment with RFDS policies.
- You will communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch and healthcare teams to support safe, timely patient transport and accurate handovers.
- You will lead by example, mentoring junior staff and maintaining professional registration and competencies through ongoing education and accreditation.
- You will uphold safety and infection control standards, ensuring vehicles and equipment are ready, and work practices meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
- You will contribute to continuous improvement, using resources efficiently, participating in quality assurance activities, and promoting incident reporting for service enhancement.
- You must have qualifications in Paramedical Science, Health Science (Paramedic), or equivalent.
- You must have completed 400 clinical hours or graduate year.
- You must have a valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
- You must be available for a 24/7 rotating roster.
- NEPT experience is desirable but not essential.
- You will work in a safer, more focused environment, with a 2:1 staff-to-patient ratio and less stress than traditional emergency settings.
