The Role

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework
  • Maintain the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) framework
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and reviews
  • Monitor adherence to the compliance plan and address any breaches or incidents
  • Manage complaints and maintain open communication with stakeholders
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure seamless compliance
  • Implement and oversee the compliance assurance system
  • Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to the Board and relevant committees
  • Foster collaboration between the compliance division and key stakeholders throughout the organization

Your Background

To excel in this role, you should possess a tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, along with several years' experience in Regulatory risk management & Compliance within a Financial Institution. A background in maintaining an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder's risk management framework and managing breaches and incidents would be highly desirable.

You will have in-depth knowledge of the current regulatory environment across financial services in Australia and a proven ability to interpret and implement compliance rules and regulations. Additionally, you should thrive in a team environment, effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
