Job Overview

The Star Ent Group is seeking an experienced Chief Technology Risk Strategist to join their team in Sydney or Brisbane. As a key member of the technology risk management function, you will be responsible for defining, identifying, assessing, and managing technology-related risks to ensure the company's information technology infrastructure and systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with regulatory standards.

About You

  • You have 12+ years of experience in technology risk management, information security, IT auditing, compliance management, or a related field.
  • You possess proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to guide, motivate, and train a team effectively.
  • You have demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology staff.
  • You excel in stakeholder management and are committed to maintaining timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage risk and audit policies, standards, baseline requirements, and controls for technology.
  • Implement governance around key processes and ensure frameworks and policies are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and prioritise potential technology-related risks across the IT environment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify areas for improvement.
