Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Risk Management Strategist to lead our Internal Audit team covering Business Services and Market Operations Divisions globally within the Corporate Operations Group. As a key member of our Risk Management Group, you will work closely with senior management and the Board to provide assurance of, and ultimately influence the implementation of Macquarie's risk management framework.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the audit plan across Business Services and Market Operations, owning the central frameworks for Operational Resilience, Third Party Risk and Outsourcing, and Market Operations supporting business-aligned trade support services such as middle office, trade validation, trade documentation and settlement support to the Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie Capital Group.

You will collaborate with other teams to assess the implementation of central frameworks in operating and central service groups where relevant, contribute to the internal audit strategy, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a department that is progressive and innovative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of the audit plan across Business Services and Market Operations.
  • Own the central frameworks for Operational Resilience, Third Party Risk and Outsourcing, and Market Operations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to assess the implementation of central frameworks.
  • Contribute to the internal audit strategy and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on audit leader with extensive internal audit experience, ideally in financial services.
  • Experience in financial and non-financial risk, including operational resilience, third-party risk, outsourcing, operations, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication, resilience, and problem-solving skills with a questioning mindset.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence change with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coach teams to deliver high-quality results.
