Fire Asset Manager
- Responsible for the maintenance and operation of fire plant and equipment to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
The role involves providing technical leadership and direction to ensure the efficient operation of all plant and equipment, and to manage asset strategies ensuring regular quality assurance assessments on maintenance tasks.
The successful candidate will oversee the management of work area reporting and legislative compliance, ensuring data accuracy within systems and alignment with work area standards.
The ideal candidate will have trade qualifications and/or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in Maintenance of Fire Systems and or associated Mechanical HVAC systems, with good working knowledge of AFSS and AS 1851.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with an emphasis on analysis and strategic planning and succinct reporting and recommendations.
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience with current WH&S, QA and ideally environmental legislation and systems.
- Experience working with capital works, infrastructure and development projects.
- Familiarity with the operation of Services generally, including mechanical, hydraulic, lifts, fire, electrical etc. and Building services delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth technical expertise on asset monitoring, maintenance, and sustainability.
- Manage asset lifecycle management, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with statutory obligations.
Requirements:
- Trade qualifications and/or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in Maintenance of Fire Systems and or associated Mechanical HVAC systems.
- Good working knowledge of AFSS and AS 1851.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience with current WH&S, QA and ideally environmental legislation and systems.
- Experience working with capital works, infrastructure and development projects.
- Familiarity with the operation of Services generally, including mechanical, hydraulic, lifts, fire, electrical etc. and Building services delivery.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certifications such as CEng or CMIT.
